New Pentax Upgrade K100D Super digital SLR

The newest K series digital SLR from Pentax is being released today as an upgrade from last year’s model of the same name. The K100D entry-level 6.1 megapixel camera adds the Pentax Shake Reduction (SR) system, a Dust Removal (DR) system and integration with all Pentax SDM lenses to its SLR features.
The K100D boasts a good-sized 2.5 inch LCD monitor with 210,000 pixel resolution and includes a user-friendly Mode Dial that features Auto Picture, various Picture modes and new Scene modes for easy amateur picture taking.
The upgrade includes an 11-point autofocus mechanism and state of the art 16 segment multi-pattern metering system. The updated Pentax K100D is expected to ship in August with a price tag of $600, including an 18-55mm lens.
