Smile for the Meowing Kitty Camera!
Yet another weird gadget from those wacky Japanese. This Holga camera (pictured in white, but comes in other colors like yellow, which is presumably “extremely rare”) does something that others cameras cannot: it meow’s.
I guess, when the tired and true “Say, Cheese!” gets all used up on your kids and friends, it might be time to give the Meow Camera from Holga a shot at grabbing their attention. Supposedly, this camera is cat-friendly, making your feline friend look towards the camera when it makes its meowing sound. I can tell you first hand that electronic sounds of cats meowing does, indeed, attract the attebntion of cats (and dogs too). Try testing it out with a sound file of cats, see what happens when your computer starts meowing, it really freaks them out!
This camera is a 35mm film camera (gasp! Real film!) and has a fixed focus f/8 optical lens. It runs on two AA batteries and, let me say it again, it meows, people. Get it on ebay or at Korea’s 10 x 10 shop.
