Mobile Projectors Going With You
Anyone who enjoys mobile life should not ignore the potential of the new handheld projectors that Texas Instruments has just introduced to the market. TI is an American-based company based in Dallas, Texas, that announce Optoma Pico, its first micro projector, in early 2008. Even though it was considered a futuristic idea not meant to be developed, but surprising anyone when it was official announced as a reality this Summer. Optoma Pico is a micro projector that can be plugged to cell phones, PDAs, iPods and other video and audio devices.
Texas Instruments says Optoma Pico projector is a future generation gadget that eventually will takeover the industry as more and more handheld will be called to replace desktop peripherals and equipment. Actually Optoma Pico is the smallest projector handheld available in the market, but there are others coming up.
Optoma Pico will be released in the UK next September and throughout 2009 for the rest of the world. This projector is the result of Texas Instruments and Optoma, a Taiwanese monitor company, joining forces to produce this small piece of engineering that only weighs four onces. Despite the projector is compatible with almost any mobile and desktop device, it is expected that Texas Instrument launches an advertising campaign around Ultra Portable Computers which ideal companion can be Optoma Pico projector.
However, Optoma Pico handheld is a stand-alone projector that can provides an improved visual experience displaying images up to 100 times larger than any other mobile device, as it can also reproduce videos and slides. Optoma Pico is also a sharing gadget, making easy exchange videos and pictures with your friends.
Technology behind this TI’s gadget allows laser scanning that returns high quality projections, with a battery performance averaging two hours of continuos use. Because Optoma Pico is compatible with almost any device or hardware, it is also an aid for Playstation and other game consoles.
Optoma’s neat and bright multimedia projection is typically sized up to 8.5 x 11 inches, this is the measure of a letter-sized piece of paper. With the increasing number of micro TV set, users must not be confused about this projector. It can display almost any multimedia content, but it is not a mini-theater and has not capability to broadcast television content.
Many people can believe it will be a hassle carry on a mobile device and still a handheld projector. Nonetheless, Optoma Pico projector is smaller than any ordinary cell phone actually available on the market.

Optoma Pico projector will be built with the latest LED illumination including a 20,000 hour lamp life. This will be a plug and play projector with DLP Pico chipset, which is an imaging technology improving high contrast image display, plus vivid and clear color shapes.
