Mood Beams Spa Lights and Mini Flip Flap Q
I was just browsing over at PrezzyBox and it seems that they had a fantastic selection of Girlie Gadgets so I thought that I would write today’s blog on a few of my favourites.
First up are these handy little accessories called Spa Lights for those of you who like to enjoy a long hot soak in the tub by candle light without the messy wax drippings!
The beauty of these is that they look like little floating candles but are really waterproof lights with suction cups attached on the bottom. You can either float them in your bath water or even stick them on the wall and the side of the bath to create a romantic subtle glowing effect. They come in a set of two, and the packaging states that one set of batteries should provide you with about 120 hours of light… that’s a lot of bath time!
These are much less messy than the real thing, easy to store and clean and safety conscious too! Currently £5.90 in the Summer Sale they are definately a bargain so check them out while you can.
Next up I’ve been won over by the ‘cute’ factor of these rather than any particular amazing technological ability. The ‘Mood Beams’ are cute plastic figures which light up to the beat of your music.
Each character has its own colour and you can choose which one to use depending on your particular mood at the time. The coolest thing about these is that they have a ‘heartbeat’ that glows in the secondary colour every now and again and there are lots of different settings you can put them on to change the way they light up and can even switch them to ‘colour hold’ mode where they will glow one colour continuously.
These would be great to brighten up a dull work desk or even to use as a different and fun form of mood lighting around the house. Price: £9.95
The last thing I’m going to look at today is a very strange little device named the ‘Mini Flip Flap Q’ which is a solar powered plant.
Whilst this might sound a little confusing all we really need to say is that it is a replica of a plant that doesn’t require batteries or electricity and simply runs by storing up sunlight. It then moves and sways in very subtle relaxing movements providing you with a focal point and a plant that you cant over water (or kill off in five minutes if your gardening skills are anything like mine!) Whilst it isn’t really the most practical of gadgets it is another great item for your desk that can help to aid concentration and provide some much needed amusement in those dull moments during work hours. Priced at £6.95 these are a really fun and original product.
