AT&T Tilt Phone
AT&T’s Tilt is a mini notebook not only because of the tons of features that it has but also because of the size of the phone. Unlike other smartphones like iPhone, Blackberry, Samsung’s Blackjack and the Palm’s Treo whose sleek design are quite noticeable, the Tilt is a little larger which can be a noticeable bulge in your pants.
Despite of its noticeable large size, the Tilt is packed with notebook-like features and functionality. In the front of the phone you will find a 2.8 inch crisp display that supports 65k colors with a resolution of 240 by 320 pixels. The tilting display makes the screen viewable in different type of lighting conditions.
As with every smartphone that has Windows Mobile 6 Professional installed on them, there is the choice of updating the Today screen and a variety of other basic features that can fit to almost everyone’s lifestyle. Just right below the screen sits the End and Talk keys with a 5-way navigation key sitting right in the middle of these two keys. Meaning, there are a number of features sitting on the face of the phone even if you don’t tilt the phone yet.
At first glance you will observe on the left side spine a scroll wheel, a push-to-talk key and an OK button. On the right edge is the power key, camera key and the place where the stylus sits. There is a MicroSD slot and a mini USB port at the bottom part of the phone. Generally, all of the key were designed in a way that makes it easy to use and work with.
The camera sits on the back together with the speaker, GPS jack and SIM card slot. One of the noticeable features is that the SIM card slot is located on the backside of the cover t as against other phones which have their slots at the back of the battery. Inside the phone we can find a full QWERTY keyboard with very soft and comfortable keys.
In conclusion, the Tilt phone may be a bit bulky but it excels in its design especially the rounded corners and the brilliant color profile.
