Bluetooth Retro Handset Makes You Feel Like a Kid Again

Familiar to all of us born prior to the early 1990’s, the now rarely seen home telephone with cord and receiver is a nostalgic relic of the past. ThinkGeek has designed a Retro Handset to coddle in your paw, as you used to in the days of yore, when a phone had but one style of ring and you paced back and forth while talking to your high school sweetheart, curling the jumbled mass of cord between your fingers.
Powered by Bluetooth, sans annoying cord, the Retro Handset provides a solution to the cramped necks and frustration that occurs when fumbling around with your sleek, slippery microcellphone (think Zoolander) as you wile away the hours making multi-million dollar deals via satellite.
ThinkGeek’s Bluetooth Retro Handset is compatible with Bluetooth 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 and allows you an approximate 30-foot range of operation for $35 (not including cell phone).
Interestingly, the Retro Handset page of ThinkGeek’s website includes trivia regarding the etymology of “Bluetooth”. The term owes its current fame to the 10th century King of Denmark who united Scandinavia and had a predilection for obsessive blueberry eating, Harold “Bluetooth” Gormson apparently reigned over his kingdom with blue stained choppers.
