Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte
Nokia are no strangers to creating great quality mobile phones, if you ask most people they will tell you just how hardy the little Finnish devices are. A few years ago Nokia launched a luxury line of mobiles, which featured high quality case materials, sliders which ran on ball bearings (the same ones as used in high end motor cars), ring and SMS tones that were created by the award winning musician Ryuichi Sakamoto and many other high end features.
Now Nokia have launched the 8800 Carbon Arte which is made from as the name suggests carbon fibre, titanium, stainless steel and a polished glass similar to the glass used in high priced time pieces, underneath the pricey exterior it is pretty much a standard phone with a 3.2 mega pixel camera, OLED screen, 4GB built in memory and some fancy anti fingerprint coating that reduces smudging.
As you would expect the phone comes pre loaded with a whole host of custom wallpapers and audio, and if the credit card snapping price of around £880 doesn’t have you running for the hills there is also a range of custom accessories on the way such as Bluetooth headset, desk stand and leather case for you to waste your kids inheritance on.
