Nokia joined the GSMA’s “Pay-Buy-Mobile” project. The project was started back in February with an intention to provide users to buy goods at retail outlets and franchises by paying through their cell phones. The project pioneers include 14 mobile operators along with cell phone manufacturers Samsung, LG and now Nokia. The project’s test transactions would begin in October this year.

The concept of paying though cell phones would certainly strengthen as world’s leading mobile manufacturer has joined hands with GSMA and its rivals. “Nokia looks forward to participating with the GSMA and the operator community in trials of this exciting technology.” Vice President and Head of Nokia Emerging Business Unit.
