Willcom Japanese Handsets: Simple, Cheap and Pretty
The first phone I had after I came to Germany was a horrible, ugly old Nokia that barely worked. I hung onto it until it was cracked and broken and repaired with duct tape and had sticky residue all over it. But, hey - it was cheap and it did the job. I imagine that would definitely be an unacceptable modus opperandi if I were Japanese and/or living in Japan, since they have the most elaborate phones on the planet.
That’s why this lineup of no-frills candy-colored Nico+ handsets is a surprisingly inexpensive and simple offering for the Japanese market. The Willcom Nico+ phone has email and phone capability and that’s it! No camera, no Bluetooth, no video. It doesn’t even wash your car!
