MacBookPro
Yes, it’s an expensive month for Apple freaks. First, the confirmed iPhone release earlier this week and now, another reason to pour your life savings into Apple’s products. Yesterday, the long-awaited, much-rumored upgrade to the MacBook Pro line of laptop computers has finally been confirmed by Apple. The spankin’ new, Santa Rosa equipped, one-inch thin, 5.4 lb. (15” LED display) and 6.8 lb. (17” with optional 1920-by-1200 pixel display) notebook is Apple’s sleekest, shiniest portable high-performance machine to date.

Apple’s concern for the environment and decision to go green is exemplified with its new LED display feature and 30-60 minute extended battery life. Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, Philip Schiller, boasts “Apple’s notebooks have always led the industry in innovation with features like built-in 802.11 and the MagSafe Power Adapter, and now the industry’s first 15-inch LED-backlit display is another step toward completely eliminating mercury from our displays.”
