Back pain is one of the biggest causes of time off work, and whilst I think 25% of that is probably just people pulling a fast one over their employer, back pain is no joke and can make even the smallest of tasks a horrific struggle. One of the major causes of back pain (apart from lifting heavy things in a poor way) is bad posture, as I sit typing this I’m looking at how I am sat, and it’s not good, but a little gadget is here to help get your posture back in line.

The iPosture is a device that attaches either to your chest (using sticky pads), your bra strap or it can just hang around your neck like a necklace, and when it senses a change of more than 3 degrees from your chosen posture for more than one minute it vibrates to tell you to sort your position out, now that sounds like it would be going off every couple of minutes but the clever gadget filters out normal movements meaning it will only alert you when your posture actually needs changing, and apparently after wearing for some period of time you won’t need the device anymore and will naturally begin to correct your posture without prompting.
