Sony DR-BT140QP
Bluetooth headsets are never going to be a fashion statement, no matter how the big companies try to disguise them. Comical adverts such as the John Smith’s “no nonsense” adverts in the UK prove that, where a man is depicted showing off his new Bluetooth headset in the pub – the device rings, he fumbles around with the device, trying to get it on his head, and finally when he does answer the call, the person on the other end is the land lord telling him that he is barred from the pub.
Unfortunately for most of us who drive and own a mobile phone, a Bluetooth headset is the only cheap and legal way to receive a call whilst on the move, and luckily Sony has tried to make their latest Bluetooth headset a little more discreet.
Sony’s DR-BT140QP Bluetooth headset not only functions in the standard way, but also doubles up as a standard pair of earphones with a frequency response of 16hz – 24hz, whilst the Bluetooth end of the device is 2.0 compliant, supporting A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/HSP profiles. Battery life is a decent 12 hrs, and they will be available in black, white and pink for approx $139 USD in July.
