All Things D: Steve Jobs and Bill Gates Wax Nostalgic

Yesterday’s ho-hum (what? No catfights?) milestone interview between computer industry honchos Steve Jobs and Bill Gates on “All Things Digital 5”, the Wall Street Journal’s annual technology conference, did not recall the legendary friction a la 1999’s “Pirates of Silicon Valley”.

Although there were no fireworks, the two giants discussed their contributions to the industry, their visions for the future and their mutual respect for one another. Jobs added extra honey at the close of the discussion, reminding Gates and quoting the Beatles, “You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.”
Aw, ain’t that sweet?
