Digital Plant Pot Concept

Designer Junyi Heo has created this fantastic digital plant pot concept and I have to admit I really like it! The digital pot is capable of measuring your plant’s health, soil conditions as well as checking for things like humidity and water. It then displays this result in picture form courtesy of it’s built in blue LCD which looks really funky!

For people (like me) who aren’t actually that great at caring for plants this could be perfect as it also has a very handy ‘over watering’ feature which basically means that if you tend to drown your plants with water the pot will actually drain some automatically to protect the plant inside. Cool eh!

The whole thing is powered by USB and it plugs directly into your computer. If you choose, you can also download the data from the digital plant pot directly to your PC.

I’m hoping that this idea is one that’s going to get taken further; it would make loads of sales on sites like Firebox etc.
